Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best when he mentioned that "our understanding of truth, even though we may understand it differently at another time, must be our compass - not popular opinion and not imposed will." He states further that our quest for truth, love and meaning can and must include respecting and honoring another's differences.
As as a witness to both individual and relationship transformations, I am always humbled by the innate resilience of human beings, transforming what feels and seems impossible or unchangeable into personal and relational acts of triumph.
Robin is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a Certified EMDR therapist. Licensed Practitioners who have completed EMDR Basic Training and who wish to expand their clinical skills in the art of EMDR are welcome to join Robin in individual consultation and/or group consultation. Time accrued by consultees can lead toward EMDRIA Certification in EMDR. Consultation is for those therapists who want to enhance their EMDR skill set and improve general clinical skills.
Robin is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a Certified EMDR therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched psychotherapy method. It has been proven to help people recover from PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, panic and attachment challenges. EMDR has been recognized by National and International organizations as an effective treatment designed to resolve unprocessed trauma memory. In a lifetime, it is difficult to avoid trauma wether it be through direct expereince or as observer. EMDR offers a three-pronged approach (past-present-future) allowing for the processing of past expereince at an accelorated rate compared to talk therapy. The resolution of past expereinces can bring change to current expereince and can allow for an enhanced future.
